Dr Jane Nugent, a GP with a long history of understanding and enjoying working with neurodiverse adults in a range of settings has increased the days she is offering GP services in Adelaide to 3 days a week due to the demand and positive feedback from initial patients. New patients have found the long initial consult provides them with enough time for feel comfortable getting to know Jane as well as have a full physical and mental health screening to ensure that health care plans going forward are comprehensive and completely personalized.
Jane provides take home information for patients to support their ownership of their health care and life choices. She aims to ensure that patients receive enough information to be truly empowered over their health care. If you are uncomfortable with spoken communication, Jane is open to other forms of communication too. Skype consults are possible for people who are unable to attend in person, however, these will be billed as private consults and not be bulk billed, as Medicare does not provide any rebates for this service. Jane has special Interests in complexities including general practitioner support for people with a disability or mental health condition or autism. Jane has additional training in pharmacology and is co-author of a book ‘The Guide to Good Mental Health on the Autism Spectrum’ along with Dr Emma Goodall and Jeanette Purkis.
