Medicare no longer allows billing to be split which means that you have to pay everything and then the medicare part is rebated within mins-48 hours IF you are registered with MyGov, longer if you are not.

This means costs are complicated… because it depends on what you have done however, it is likely that the maximum costs result in a gap to pay (out of pocket expense)of :

30 min appointment: $50 gap for first, bulk billed for follow up appointments of 30 mins

1 hour appointment: $75 gap for first, bulk billed for follow up appointments of 30 mins, gap of $50 for follow up appointments of 1 hour

1.5 hour appointments: $100 gap for first, bulk billed for follow up appointments of 30 mins, gap of $50 for follow up appointments of 1 hour and gap of $75 for follow up appointments for 1.5 hours. This means that up to $350 needs to be paid with all but $100 put back on your card (there may be a delay according to Medicare we need to let you know this could theoretically take up to 48hrs).

Focused pyschological strategy sessions up to 45mins are bulk billed, if these follow a mental health care plan appointment (45mins bulk billed). These sessions are with Jane.

Please note if you have a concession card the gap is at Jane’s discretion. You are welcome to bring a support person. Please note an appointment is for one person, if you want two or more people to be seen please book separate appointments one after the other.
